Apple,
a name that doesn't require any introduction; one of the most
innovative tech giants in the world, Apple has come up with its
biggest iOS release ever. iOS 10 is a significant revamp since the
company overhauled its mobile design with iOS 7 in the year 2013.
Apple has rolled out its official updates for iPhone 5, 5s, 6, 6s
Plus models. The latest iPhone models 7 and 7 Plus will come
pre-installed with iOS 10.
Given
below are the few essential tips that will help you know more about
the iOS 10:
Kill
unused Apple Apps: The previous
versions of iOS came pre-loaded with plenty of Apple apps which the
users can't delete. But in iOS 10 the users will be able to eliminate
these unwanted apps and can add more space to phone storage. The app
deletion process is same, you just have to press the app icon long,
they will start to wiggle, click on the cross icon on the upper left
corner of the app and within few seconds the app will be removed from
your phone. The all new iOS 10 has made iOS application development process
quick & hassle-free.
New
Control Center: Well, Control
Center is a quick way to activate/deactivate several features like
Airplane Mode, Wi-Fi, Torch, Clock, Calculator, Camera, etc. But iOS
10 comes with a redesigned control centre which consists of two pages
of control, on the first page you will get all the old controls but
when you will swipe left you will get controls purely for handling
music & audio.
Quick
Camera Access: It's quite tough
to challenge the camera capabilities of the iPhone. Previous versions
of iOS made camera access semi-easy via Control Center or by swiping
up from the lock screen. But in the latest iOS 10, you can access the
camera directly from lock screen. By swiping left from the lock
screen, you will get instant access to the camera.
Convert
Text to Emoji: If you are
typing something and the word in your text is equivalent to an emoji,
the iMessage app will highlight the phrase which you can swap out for
an emoji. The word which will be equal to an emoji will turn into an
orangey red colour. You just have to tap on the emoji you want, and
it will be included in your message.
Display
Videos & Images in Messages: Earlier
when someone shared a link in iMessage the recipient use to get a
clickable link but now in the new iMessage app, the recipients will
get the full image or video of the link which you will be sending.
The receiver can instantly view or playback these multi-media
messages. In case, the video or image is a part of any article then
the recipient can just click to read it.
Rise
to Wake: In the previous
versions of iOS you have to unlock the screen to read the
notifications. But in iOS 10 you just have to lift the phone and have
notifications on display. You can activate this feature by going to
Settings-> Display & Brightness-> Raise to Wake. This
feature is only available on the iPhone 6s, 6s Plus, SE, 7 and 7 Plus
as older phones lack the motion co-processor to make this happen.
