A Guide To Install Apps In Your Old Framework Using Appsync and iTools!

There must be plenty of people who must have felt the resentment after trying downloading older version of the apps in their iPhones.

The reason is the compatibility. The old version apps stop working on any new iPhone with new or old IOS firmware as Apple stop supporting them and signing new firmware in old models of iPhone. Maybe, to persuade people to buy a new phone but everyone can't do that. So, what about the people who are using old phones and still need the apps of the current world. Don't worry; this article will help you downloading the iPhone applications despite an old phone and old firmware.

Things To Do

1) Install Cydia

The first step that you need to perform in your phone is install Cydia and have your iPhone jailbroken, and our phone starts accepting third party apps like Appsync and other Cydia's tweaks by installing Cydia. If there is a problem in downloading Cydia on your phone, follow these steps:

Jailbreaking

You must know that jailbreaking is legal under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act which means you can break up the locked IOS firmware to make your iPhone accept third party apps. Jailbreaking gives access to users to the Operating system of iPhone so that they can implement software to make iPhones more interactive. You can hire iPhone developers or read the below steps to know how to do that, but before you do that, ensure you have created the backup of your data:

  • Download Redsnow in your computer and connect your iPhone to it and reboot using Redsnow every time your wish to restart it. It'll give you pop up asking about jailbreaking.
  • Now, right click your Redsnow and operate it as an administrator. You'll get two options: Jailbreak and Extras. Select Jailbreak and it will allow you to browse for IOS6.0 on your computer.
  • Open it and a prompt will ask you the identified IOS6.0 and also ask you to use it for rest of the Redsnow session. Click Ok and a window will open up that'll have one option as “Install Cydia”.
  • Checkmark the option and click next to start jailbreaking process.

If You have iPhone 3 or 4?

In case you are using an iPhone 3 or 4, you need to put your phone in DFU mode to start jailbreaking. Redsnow will give you the details on how to put your phone in DFU.

  • Switch off your phone and connect it to the computer.
  • Now, click on the next button of Redsnow and follow the instructions.
  • You need to press the power button for two seconds, hold it for a while and simultaneously press home button for ten seconds.
  • Release the power button immediately while pressing the home button fo ten more seconds.
  • Redsnow will automatically identify your phone in DFU mode.
  • If it doesn't, then repeat the process until you get it right.
How to back up your data!

Backing up your data is the utmost important before jailbreaking your iPhone. It's a very simple process and doesn't even require you to be a professional iOS developer. You can start by connecting the mobile phone to the computer and starting iTunes. You can download the latest versions of iTunes from Apple page.

Choose iPhone tab on the iTunes page and select a backup plan. It always works best for everyone. You can choose one of the two options i.e., iCloud and This Computer. In case you are selecting iCloud, ensure that you have a working iTune Account. Create one if you don't have any account as it is mandatory to choose the option iCloud. Otherwise, you can select This Computer.

Once you have selected the option, it'll create a backup of your data. You don't have to do it if nothing is important enough to save but if you do, ensure that you do it rightly.

  • Within few seconds, your application will be installed successfully, and you can see it on your iPhone

Additional Notes on the Transfer Process

This process works flawlessly on any iPhone but ensures that you purchase every app that you are downloading, and if you try downloading an ipa App file from the web and upload it, the transfer may fail.

Warning to Unlockers!

Jailbreaking works fine on all kind of devices that have received the official factory unlock but do not attempt if your phone was unlocked by SAM or Ultrasnow. You need to preserve its baseband before you do that, and the same goes for R-sim users. Ensure that your R-sim is supportive to new IOS.
